Tyto Athene is searching for a mid-level Munitions Analyst to provide subject matter expertise concerning munitions management across DoD. The analyst will be part of a team providing support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE), Joint Data Support (JDS). This position is located at the Pentagon and may require travel to/rotational duty at other offices in the National Capital Region such as the Mark Center. The preferred candidate has prior experience as an action officer working in DoD with munitions familiarity and an intermediate data analysis capability. The analyst will analyze worldwide conventional munitions inventories across all services: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. This includes analyzing historical and current inventory and expenditure trends and variances across numerous types of munitions, as well as forecasting supply and demand to plan future inventory levels. Other tasks may include but are not limited to: producing bi-weekly High Interest Munitions Report (HIMR), collecting munition inventory and expenditure data, and reviewing munitions planning and programming across the Joint Logistics Enterprise. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills. Individual must work well in a team environment with other government and contractor analysts, possess strong analytic and technical skills, and customer service abilities.
