Tyto Athene is hiring a Data Visualization Developer to join a newly awarded Cybersecurity and IT Risk Management contract supporting a federal customer. This role involves designing and developing data-driven visualizations, dashboards, and web applications to support mission-critical analytics initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver modular, scalable software applications to support customer analytics needs.
Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.
Transform data sets, both quantitative and qualitative, into compelling visuals that inform decision-making.
Provide visual, technical, and editorial guidance across cybersecurity teams.
Support web development, web engineering, and dashboard integration.
Work with large datasets, performing ETL (extract, transform, load) using languages like Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.
Design dashboard layouts, visual elements, and interactivity, including chart types, color palettes, and other design elements to ensure clarity and impact.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
Experience with SQL and PowerBI for dashboarding.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly to diverse audiences.
Desired:
Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with Python or R and database systems such as SQL Server or MySQL.
Clearance: Active Secret clearance required
Location: Hybrid-remote in Washington, DC, with expected 2-3 days on-site per week
