Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Taxonomy and Content Curation Analyst to provide taxonomy subject matter expertise and content curation guidance to support the maturation of ongoing enterprise information, data and knowledge management efforts. As a taxonomist, the individual will interface with government and contractor personnel across the enterprise to understand, capture and translate business and technical requirements that have an impact on the development and maintenance of taxonomy term sets. The taxonomist also will conduct analysis and identify opportunities to standardize, improve and automate data and information integrations where possible. As a content curation analyst, the individual will work with content owners to maintain website content in accordance with documented governance parameters and objectives.

 

The remote position may be structured as temporary or full-time based on candidate availability and interest.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess existing content (articles, artifacts, tools, blogs, etc.) to determine compliance with quality standards and to ensure currency, relevancy and accuracy.
  • Work with website content editors and approvers to update or retire non-compliant content.
  • Maintain and sustain authoritative term sets (Enterprise taxonomy, thesaurus, glossary/dictionary) using approved taxonomy management software.
  • Update or draft new policies, governance and guidance to support the development and management of term sets.
  • Review existing taxonomy terms, classifications, and governance structure for gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Implement changes to existing taxonomies, structures and tools to support approved governance protocols and enable assessment/performance reporting for established framework.
  • Translate end user or project team requests into implementable taxonomy updates.
  • Collaborate relevant colleagues to scope, develop and update implementation plans for approved systems.
  • Research, catalogue, index and map information resources to include (but not limited to) semantic and sentiment analysis, text enrichment and auto-tagging.
  • Provide testing and validation support for indexing and/or tagging efforts.
  • Create, update and maintain training and awareness materials.
  • Contribute business and technical requirements for the taxonomy management tool (or capability), as needed.
  • Disseminate approved information and guidance using various standard communication vehicles.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years experience with managing enterprise taxonomies and content.
  • Ability to work effectively and independently on assigned projects and enhancement requests utilizing agile principles and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of and experience with automated taxonomy tools such as Synaptica.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
