Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Systems/Enterprise Architect to support the capture and analysis of the customer’s enterprise architecture as well as assist the customer in creating and overseeing an enterprise business architecture. The position will also help identify recommendations for changes to IT strategic objectives based on an analysis of customer strategic goals and objectives. Candidates must be solution-oriented individuals who work well independently and are able to effectively collaborate with technical teams to document and produce DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF) artifacts. 

 

The position may be structured as temporary or full-time based on candidate availability and interest. The position is remote, although the ability to occasionally travel to Fort Belvoir would be beneficial.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and business input regarding EA decisions.
  • Maintain the integrity and currency of all architecture documentation and workflows and provide system, software, and technical recommendations that enhances system processing, data storage, data access, and application development
  • Analyze and produce documentation that reveals the interdependencies between processes, technologies, applications, and data.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology use cases, considering factors such as feasibility, potential benefits, and reuse.
  • Perform Impact Analysis (IA) for all Change Requests (CRs).
  • Maintain the DAU Enterprise Architecture Roadmap document.
  • Create and maintain the detailed DoDAF based views of existing and future business and IT solutions.
  • Analyze industry best practices and align to the identified priorities in the customer strategic plan
  • Provide communication slides and presentations for the developed EA artifacts.
  • Interpret any new DoD or NIST legislations requirements on initiatives such as Artificial Intelligence, Zero Trust, or IT Modernization.
  • Develop and contribute to governance processes, policies, and standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 
  • 5+ years of relevant Systems Engineering or System Architect experience.
  • 5+ years of experience developing Enterprise Architecture for IT Portfolios.
  • Expert proficiency in developing and maintaining System and Enterprise Architecture (EA) views and supporting artifacts in support of DoD Architecture Framework (DODAF).
  • Experience in the principles and practices of Cloud architecture.
  • Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, and Hopex Mega to assist with supporting the EA function.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills including presentation and facilitation.
