Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Senior Warehouse Manager to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages overall warehouse operations, overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods to meet operational requirements 
  • Develops and implements strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and inventory management to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize costs 
  • Leads a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to promote adherence to safety standards, quality control, and operational objectives 
  • Maintains compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and industry standards, upholding a safe and organized work environment 
  • Coordinates with supply chain, logistics, and procurement teams to guarantee timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and efficient inventory management 
  • Analyzes inventory levels, forecasting demand, and applying systems to track stock movement, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory 
  • Oversees the implementation of inventory management systems, including barcoding and automated tracking technologies, to streamline processes and improve accuracy 
  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement and initiating corrective actions when necessary 
  • Manages relationships with external vendors, service providers, and logistics partners, negotiating contracts, overseeing performance, and resolving operational issues 
  • Creates and maintains standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse processes, promoting consistency and efficiency across the team 
  • Oversees the maintenance of warehouse equipment, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with safety standards to prevent downtime 
  • Tracks and reports on warehouse performance metrics, providing leadership with regular updates and recommending improvements to meet organizational goals 
  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives, applying lean management principles and best practices to increase warehouse productivity and reduce waste 
  • Develops and manages the warehouse operations budget, controlling costs while maintaining high service levels and operational performance 
  • Collaborates with senior leadership to align warehouse operations with broader organizational objectives and strategic goals 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role 
  • Strong understating or warehouse management systems, inventory tracking and logistics operations 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and logistics databases 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills 
  • Ability to lift and move equipment as needed and work in warehouse conditions  

Desired:

  • Master’s degree in related field 
  • Experience with DoD supply chain or military warehouse operations 
  • Familiarity with Defense Property Accountability System or similar government systems 
  • Knowledge of hazardous material handling and storage procedures
  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • Production and Inventory Management certification
  • Professional in Distribution and Warehousing certification   

Clearance:

  • Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

Certification:

  • DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
