Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Reports Developer - Journeyman to support U.S. Southern Command on the SCITES II Contract in Doral, Florida.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Creates clear, accurate, and efficient reports that support decision-making and improve operational efficiency
  • Designs and develops reports to support mission operations, leveraging data from various sources 
  • Creates reports that are accurate, clear, and tailored to stakeholder needs 
  • Analyzes data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform decision-making 
  • Develops dashboards and visualizations to enhance understanding of operational performance
  • Maintains an understanding of the operational environment and its data requirements 
  • Aligns reporting solutions with mission-critical workflows and goals
  • Identifies opportunities for improving reporting processes to enhance data accuracy and usability 
  • Provides actionable recommendations for enhancing reporting capabilities and addressing data gaps 
  • Continuously optimizes reporting solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and relevance 
  • Proposes and implements innovative techniques to enhance data quality and reporting outcomes 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related technical field 
  • 4–9 years of experience developing reports, dashboards, or visualizations in a business, intelligence, or mission environment
  • Proficiency with SQL and strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)
  • Experience with at least one modern reporting platform (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar)
  • Ability to translate user needs into clear, technical report designs and functional specifications 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to validate report outputs for data accuracy and integrity
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation      

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience supporting DoD, federal agencies, or large-scale enterprise data environments
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouse structures, and data modeling concepts 
  • Knowledge of data transformation languages such as DAX, MDX, or stored procedures
  • Understanding of access control, row-level security, and role-based permissions in reporting tools 
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development environments
  • Exposure to cloud-based data solutions and data lakes (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Databricks)
  • Microsoft Data Analyst Associate certification or equivalent      

Clearance:

  • Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI

Certification:

  • DoD 8570 Baseline & CE certifications are required for all positions and may vary slightly depending on the skillset required to perform the role
  • CompTIA Security+ CE
